SEO for URL clarity. We have a dispute going about URLs and the best way to optimize them for SERPs.

Let’s say you have a book page and one person says you should put as much of the book title in the URL that will fit the Rank Math recommended 75 characters and another claims it should just be one word from the title (so it’s short) but doesn’t hit the mark for Rank Math’s keywords in the URL.

Who is right?

  1. Hello, Thank you so much for getting in touch.

If the page is about a book, the correct answer might as well be to put the entire book name in the URL.

Our guidelines advise keeping the URLs short, but sometimes due to the nature of the page we are building is simply impossible to comply with that.

You should always build your URLs for your users and how easily they can quickly identify the subject from that.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
