Say there’s a local woocommerce site. It has 2 domains. domain.co, and south.domain.co. Both has 90% same products. For some reason, the owner decided to build the site this way.

Now, for a product, if I use the same images, same product description, and almost everything the same, then will it be counted as duplicate content?

If so, how can I prevent it? The main goal is to rank them separately on 2 parts of the same country.

  1. Hello, Thank you for your query, and welcome to the group.

Having duplicate content on your website it’s not a negative ranking factor from Google: https://www.searchenginejournal.com/google-duplicate-content-is-not-a-negative-ranking-factor/394321

Having said that, if you wish to have some subdomains of your website rankings for different parts of the country you should focus on improving Local SEO, with the help of our module: https://rankmath.com/kb/local-seo/
