I’m moving my site from HTML to WordPress. Previously, I was three directories. Now, all directories are made as categories. I usually do not index categories. I made pillar posts under all directories. So, If I make setting noindex category. What will happen? Will it be bad or good in point of SEO?

  1. Hello, Thank you so much for getting in touch.

There are benefits of having the category pages indexed if they have content that you wish to have on SERPs.

Having said that, that decision depends entirely on your strategy and what portions of your website you want to be indexed.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
