Hi everyone, great to be here! I’m relatively new to SEO so please excuse my ignorance but if I write a post using RankMath and I get a score of 100/100, what should I expect from accomplishing this? For example, can I expect that that article will be on the first page of Google in a few months? What’s a reasonable expectation? Thanks in advance!

  1. Hello, Thank you for your query, and welcome to the group.

Having a perfect score on those tests it’s a good starting point and that means that your on-page SEO optimization is very good.

However, please note that ranking on Google depends on so much more than just your on-page optimization. You could have the perfect article and still struggle to break the top 10 in SERPs. Here are some of the factors Google considers when ranking you:

    1. Your website’s authority.

    2. Your content’s quality and how better it is than the other article currently ranking.

    3. How competitive the keyword is.

    4. How many backlinks you have and if they are better than what the other guys ranking for that keyword have.

    5. Your website’s crawlability.

    6. Frequency of new content and content updates.

    7. So much more that there is a dedicated blog post on it by Brian Dean: https://backlinko.com/google-ranking-factors

So, we would recommend that you keep at it and work on acquiring more links to break into the top SERPs.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

  2. 8. Loading time! If you have managed to work on all of those points 1-7 Google CAN still ignore your site when it‘s slowly. So make some tests with pingdom or gtmetrix and Check this. 100/100 is „just a Plug-in Score“. It helps to get an idea, but the rest is on you.

  3. There is no hard and fast rule. However, 100 will not be a bad thing. Honestly depends on competition for the keywords. I have written articles that I wasn’t too bothered about ranking that were just fur client guidance and they ended up top spot.

And articles I really wanted to rank and they ended up not top. I have had articles rank in three weeks.

  4. Think of it as a checklist. 100 means you’ve done everything you can in terms of content and markup to give the post a good chance of being found.

Of course, if no one is looking for what you’ve written, or there are 15000 other articles already, or your hosting is shit, or any of a dozen or so other variables apply then it’s all a bit pointless. Do a little happy dance for getting 100 all the same.

  5. When you are new and have little link power you should target longtail attainable keywords. The 100 score only means you have done the work correctly not a guarantee you will rank. Many of my keywords rank on the first page in 7 days but I have 23K baclinks and a high DA and TF.

  6. Hi Dele, I’ve optimized all of my posts on website and I’ve grown them from a score of 26 from my first time installing Rank Math to a one-time score of 100 for a post. I’ve tried really hard to get a perfect 100 score and you shouldn’t be writing your posts merely to get a perfect SEO score. That would be counter productive and would actually hurt your traffic by possibly getting penalized by Google. It may take months for your 1st post to rank on the 1st page of Google. Even some of top performing posts with an immense number of Social shares (11,000) don’t get onto the 1st page of Google. To get on the 1st page of Google requires that you’re effectively using SEO to it’s best advantage, you’re using the right keywords, all of the proper SEO techniques, and more importantly people and Google are liking your material. To answer your question, getting on the first page of Google in a few months is an unrealistic expectation.
